Terms & Conditions
Introduction
Stack Counsel (“we”, “us”) is registered in the United Arab Emirates under licence number 20539/2026. We work with clients across the UK, the UAE and internationally.
Using this site means you agree
By browsing and using this website, you’re agreeing to these terms.
Our content is general info, not advice
Articles, insights and FAQs reflect our understanding of the law at the time we wrote them, not a substitute for proper advice. We’re not liable for loss from relying on it, except where the law won’t allow that, like for negligence causing personal injury or fraud.
Getting in touch through the site
Please give us accurate info when you fill in a form or book a call. Reaching out doesn’t guarantee we’ll take you on. We’ll get back to you as quickly as we can, but email and forms aren’t fully secure, so be mindful of what you send us.
The site's content belongs to us
Everything on this site, including the words, design and logo, belongs to Stack Counsel or our licensors. You’re welcome to read, download or print bits for personal use, unchanged and with our branding intact. Anything more needs our written consent.
Using the site fairly
Please don’t:
- Use the site in a way that breaks the law;
- Try to hack or gain unauthorised access to it;
- Upload viruses or harmful code;
- Scrape the site without asking us first; or
- Pretend to be someone you’re not in our forms.
Links to other websites
We sometimes link to other sites for convenience. However we don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content.
We are committed to providing a great experience
We work hard to keep our site accurate, up to date, and running smoothly but occasional issues or interruptions may occur.
Limits on our liability
We’re not liable for indirect losses, like loss of profits, revenue, goodwill or data, from your use of the website. This doesn’t affect our responsibilities under any signed engagement letter for actual legal work, which is covered separately.
Which law applies
These website terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the UAE courts have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. Your engagement letter will set out the governing law for any actual legal services, which may differ, for example English law for UK-based work.
If you're a UK visitor
Nothing here takes away any rights you have as a UK consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other UK consumer protection law, where it applies.
We might update these terms
We may update these terms from time to time to ensure we are compliant with the law.
