This website tells you who we are and how we can help. Using it doesn’t make you our client, and nothing on it is legal advice.
You are welcome to read our content, share it and link to it. We only ask that you don’t copy it for commercial use, scrape it or try to break the website.
If anything in these terms is unclear, email us at info@stack-counsel.com.

They do not apply to the legal services we provide. Once you instruct us, our work for you is governed by our engagement letter.
Other policies that apply: Please read these terms together with our Privacy Notice, which explains how we handle your personal data, and our Cookie Policy, which explains the cookies we use. Both form part of these terms.
Using our website
Do you have to accept these terms?
Yes. By using the website you accept these terms and agree to follow them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it. If other people use the website through your internet connection, please make sure they know about these terms too.
Can these terms change?
Yes. We may update these terms from time to time, and changes apply as soon as we post them here. We will change the “Last Updated” date at the top, so please check back now and then. If you keep using the website after a change, you accept the updated terms.
Will the website always be available?
We can’t promise that. We may update, suspend or withdraw all or part of the website for business or operational reasons. We will try to give you reasonable notice of planned downtime, but we don’t have to.
Your login details
If we give you, or you create, a username, password or other security details, keep them private and don’t share them. We may disable any login if we reasonably believe you have broken these terms. If you think someone else has your details, tell us straight away at info@stack-counsel.com.

This section is an express reservation of our rights.
Our content
Who owns it?
We own, or are licensed to use, all intellectual property in the website and everything on it. This includes its text, articles, guides, templates, designs, images, video, code and layout, and the Stack Counsel name and logo (our “content”). Other names and logos on the website belong to their owners. Nothing in these terms gives you ownership of our content, or any licence beyond the uses set out above.
Can you rely on it?
No. Our content is general information only and is not legal advice. Before you act, or decide not to act, please get advice on your own circumstances. We try to keep our content up to date, but the law changes often, particularly across the UAE and its free zones, so we don’t promise it is accurate, complete or current.
Links to other websites
Where we link to other websites or resources, it is for your information only. A link doesn’t mean we approve of that website or anything on it. We have no control over other websites, and you use them at your own risk.
Linking to us
You are welcome to link to our website, as long as you do it fairly and lawfully and in a way that doesn’t harm our reputation or take unfair advantage of it. Please don’t suggest we are associated with, approve of or endorse you where we don’t.
Working with us
When do you become our client?
Using the website, or contacting us by email, form, phone or our scheduling tool, doesn’t make you our client. We only act for you once we have agreed an engagement letter and completed the identity checks the law requires.
What should you send us before then?
Please don’t send us confidential or sensitive information through the website’s contact forms. Anything you send before we are engaged is not treated as confidential or privileged. If a matter requires it, we will arrange a secure way to receive it.
Applying for a job
If you apply for a role with us, everything in your application must be accurate and not misleading. If it isn’t, we may reject your application or, if we find out later, end your employment. We use the personal data in your application for recruitment, as explained in our Privacy Notice.
If something goes wrong
What we always remain responsible for
Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law doesn’t allow it, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
What we can’t promise
We provide the website “as is”. We don’t guarantee it is free from errors, viruses or other harmful components, so please use your own virus protection. As far as the law allows, we exclude all implied conditions, warranties and other terms about the website and our content.
If you use the website for business
We are not liable for any loss or damage, however it arises and even if foreseeable, from using or being unable to use the website, or from relying on our content. This includes loss of profits, revenue, business, savings, opportunity, goodwill or reputation, business interruption, and any indirect or consequential loss.
If you use the website personally
The website is for your personal, non-commercial use. We are not liable to you for any loss of profit, business or business opportunity, or for business interruption. If something we supply through the website damages your device or digital content because we didn’t take reasonable care, we will repair the damage or compensate you.
Raising a concern
We want to get things right, and we would like the chance to put things right if we haven’t.
Talk to us first
Raise your concern with the person handling your matter, or email our lead lawyer, Parveen Kausar, at pkausar@stack-counsel.com.
Formal complaint
If your concern isn’t resolved quickly, a senior member of the team will review it as a formal complaint. We aim to give you our decision and proposed solution within eight (8) weeks.
Final review
If you are a client and disagree with our decision, let us know and we will carry out a final review. We aim to confirm our final position, with reasons, within fourteen (14) days.
If you are still unhappy after our final response, you may refer the dispute to the courts named under “The legal parts” below.
The legal parts
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the emirate of Fujairah. The courts of Fujairah have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms.
If part of these terms doesn’t work
If a court or other competent authority finds any part of these terms invalid or unenforceable, that part will be treated as removed and the rest will continue to apply.
Transferring these terms
We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation, for example if Stack Counsel is reorganised, merged or sold. You may not transfer yours to anyone else.
